How can I request IDT gaskets in the UAE?
Send Majestic the IDT part number or gasket drawing, quantity, process medium, pressure and temperature. Product selection, availability and delivery are confirmed during quotation.
What is the difference between a gasket and gland packing?
A gasket seals a static joint, such as a flange connection. Gland packing seals around a shaft or stem inside a stuffing box. The equipment design determines the required sealing product.
Can I select a gasket using only its pressure rating?
No. Provide the operating temperature, medium, flange details, dimensions and installation requirements as well. A listed maximum pressure is not a universal rating for every operating condition.
What information is needed for pump gland packing?
Provide the shaft diameter, stuffing-box bore and depth, packing cross-section, rotational speed, medium, pressure and temperature. Include the existing packing grade if known.
Can I request a replacement from a drawing?
Yes. Send a dimensioned drawing, the existing material specification and service conditions. Majestic can use these details to review the product enquiry and prepare a quotation.
